• Always be aware of others on the course
• Never swing when someone is in your line of play
• Yell "FORE!" immediately if your ball heads toward others
• Wait for the group ahead to be out of range before hitting
• Stay alert for flying golf balls

Before Your Lesson or Event

• Warm up properly before physical activity
• Stay hydrated - bring water
• Apply sunscreen and wear appropriate sun protection
• Inform your Pro of any injuries or physical limitations
• Wear appropriate golf attire and footwear
• Check weather conditions before heading out

Equipment Safety

• Inspect equipment before use
• Use equipment only as intended
• Maintain safe grip on clubs at all times
• Store clubs safely when not in use
• Be careful when transporting clubs

Weather Awareness

• Lightning: Seek shelter immediately if you see lightning or hear thunder
• Heat: Watch for signs of heat exhaustion; take breaks in shade
• Cold: Dress in layers; be aware of hypothermia risk
• Rain: Use caution on wet surfaces; consider postponing

Golf Cart Safety

• Follow all cart path rules
• Keep hands and feet inside the cart
• Drive at safe speeds
• Stop completely before exiting
• Set the parking brake on hills
• Never drive under the influence

Physical Safety

• Listen to your body - stop if you feel pain
• Don't overexert yourself
• Use proper form to prevent injury

Meeting Strangers

When meeting a Pro for the first time:

• Meet in public locations (golf courses, driving ranges)
• Let someone know where you'll be
• Share your location with a friend or family member
• Trust your instincts - leave if something feels wrong

Emergency Preparedness

• Know the location of the nearest clubhouse or facility
• Keep your phone charged and accessible
• Know basic first aid
• Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures at the venue
